Well, its over. At least the BMP part. As I laid out in the last post these are the not so excellent Ace models BMP-2. I will use these in FoF, current, simi-future, as well as cold war if I ever get to it, and Afghanistan, Chechnya goodness, the possibilities are endless.

Each has an ATGM, very nice!!! |
|
Up close of the driver and trooper hatches as well as the 30mm |
|
The back doors to the infantry compartment which infamously double as the fuel tanks, sigh, only the Soviets. |
|
The massive modern menacing mechanised masterful men. |
|
The repainted BTR-80 I referred to in the last post. |
|
The BMP platoon, I still need a medic and sniper though. |
|
The BTR and BMP platoons together.
Thanks for looking |
Great job Ben, They look ready for trouble
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul, maybe they will shake Grozny in a while...
DeleteDamn impressive Ben. The BMP is a lovely thing to look at as long as you don't have to get in one.
ReplyDeleteIt would be neat to see the interior in person, yet not in battle, I don't believe so! Glad you like them.
DeleteThey're horribly cramped - photos here:http://megablitzandmore.blogspot.co.uk/2010/12/big-boys-toys-part-4.html
DeleteGood grief they are terrible! Very much so when considering thet were expected to hold 8 men 2 mgs and an RGP! Thanks for the great pictures.
Deletegreat work ben! that is a fine BMP-2, and so is the BTR-80, have you ever seen them painted for the "nodists" imagi-nation? anyway these are great models but I agree with Tim, hense why the russians are so keen on roof cramming and not car cramming ;-)
ReplyDeleteSure have, I love those collections set up, very nice battles. Thanks for looking.
DeleteGreat job on those- I admire you for getting such good results from ACE kits- my experience with them has been less than satisfactory.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pete.
Thanks Pete! I will admit they were a little less fun to build than the Trumpeters I've gotten used to. Thanks for looking.
DeleteLovely models! I like them! Impressive army!

Peter
