Something Totally Different...28mm Tolkien Elves

Just for fun, I decided to try something completely new to me and paint some 28mm fantasy figures.

This was partly inspired by my reading of Tolkien's, The Silmarillion this month.

These are from GW's new Mirkwood Elf Rangers set. As you can see, they're super dynamic and well detailed. There was lots of boring open space and cloth caught in the breeze, though, so I tried some new shading techniques hoping to liven it a little.
