Hello all. These are another great set by Caesar, with some extras by Revell (as is typical for my style). I actually finished painting these a while back but just got around to basing them and finishing the last couple figs. I, perhaps foolishly, painted them in the non desert pattern of uniform, or
"Flecktarn." They would have been more useful to me in desert but oh well... The figures mix together well enough for me, as they are roughly the same size; the style and uniform type aren't 100% compatible though, yet 100% is asking a bit too much. Hope you enjoy. BTW there is a new poll I've added ;-)

| I did have guess on the platoon command element, I gathered bits and pieces about two snipers etc, and figured they would have at least a commander, radio, and some equivalent of master or platoon sergeant. |

good work. those figs seem compatible to me. I guess we would like people to go. oh that is just like the real thing but hey. at this scale appart from colours there is no point for such minor details
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gowan. True I suppose, I do like a standard size for my figures but with especially Caesar, I need some more variety in equipment and weapons etc for making complete units. But they do go together quite well I though. Thanks for looking

The caesars seem to have a slightly thicker base than the revell models, but I think they mix very well. Nice painting and great detailing in the little flag and details like that!

They do, so I had to squash a bit of clay around them, thus they look a bit taller. I would like to see some leopards too! That may have to wait though, I do have a "fuchs" (apologies if I misspelled) already done.... Thanks for looking

Thanks, Peter. Caesar never includes enough mgs for some reason, so its worked out well mixing the various sets by them and Revell to achieve the proper unit makeup. I hope you don't mind my stealing your "signature" idea either, my links to my blog seem to work sporadically, so I figured this was safer.
