Only us Russians

My converted Elhiem Russian motorized rifle platoon for the first Chechen war.

These two shots are from a current-day Russian counter-terrorism unit I converted.

  1. Ben,
Very, very nice work. The Elheim troops look fantastic too. The dude with the RPG "at the ready" is one of my favs. How did you like working with the metal?

There is a great selection of 20mm metal out there I'm always tempted...

I also like the camo work you did on the dude in the "amoeba" suit!! Keep it up,

    Steve

  2. Thanks Steve!
That kneeling RPG guy is one of my favorite as well, I also like how the Lieutenant with the UGL and the sniper turned out.
I'm very happy about all the metal available, especially now that I see that the conversions blend in so well with plastic.

    1. I built this 22 man platoon for just under $40 (inc shipping) with a few figures left over. They sell in packs of usually four figures, that way I could get almost exactly what I needed...
      http://www.elhiemfigures.com/index.html (their very tempting website!)
I believe Syr Hobbs is the US stockist, but they were out of one or two of the key sets I wanted.

  4. Nice work- the head swaps have really brought them together as a unit.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

    1. Thanks Pete. They just didn't blend too well with the plastics without conversion, but I'm happy with them now!
The lost (very) miserably in a game today btw...
